Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY born on March 17 the 17th of March, 1988) is professionally known as Grimes, is a Canadian singer, musician, and record producer. The early work of her is described as stretching from "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. [4] She's also taken elements from electronic music, hip hop, and rock. Her songs frequently touch on the themes of science fiction and feminists. The singer has released five studio albums. Grimes was raised in Vancouver before moving to Montreal. Her first independently-based music career in the mid 2000s. In 2010, she dropped two albums via Arbutus Records, Geidi Primes (and Halfaxa), respectively. In 2012, Visions was her third studio album. The band was signed to 4AD. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and won her an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio record, was released in the year 2015. Several publications called it the top album. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth studio album.
