Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently in the UFC Flyweight division. She is also the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina continued to win and won a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in the year 2011 and the title of 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in with her debut in 2003. She was the winner of the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO at the end of round 2. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. The result earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts beating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee.
